Thanksgiving b-day

I have been MIA, I know it! Yes, Peanut turned three and we could not be happier! We even made him a disney cars blanket, among other gifts, in hopes of him loving another blanket, so we can wash his baby blanket more regularly that my friend Lyns made for him. He loved the cars blanket and the cupcake that we got for him! Black friday was on thursday for me with the DVD sales and little C wanting feed through prime  3am shopping I had to wait.  We had a lovely thanksgiving celebrating with friends and Mr. Incredible's Mom came down to see little C get blessed and I had a girl's night out with my friend D viewing Van Gogh who got married the next day. She looked so beautiful and happy on her wedding day! I was so happy for her. Peanut was dressed in a red collared shirt(wedding colors) black bow tie and suit. He was so cute! Little C was lovely as usual in her pediped glittery red shoes. I love my family and friends. I wish that more of my family lived near by. CO has been having awesome weather! I'm finishing my kitty blanket for my sister and a custom wedding arrangement for a friend. Life is great!

Monster Mash

So went to my last photo from the heart seminar, actually loved it! I bought my photos to class and I was told to keep producing babies because they were beautiful and taking pictures! Ha! Then we went to Treat or Trick on the street in Littleton, and in front of Lola's Sugar Rush I was asked to interview on CNN because I'm an independent voter, Apparently the interviewer was not seasoned because the camera man was asking better questions. After a stop to shop in savory spice store and the evoo marketplace getting maple vinegar for some fall treats. We headed out to a party in Lakewood. Which was awesome! Then came back for our church party which was a bummer because it was overcrowded and Peanut was running a muck. So we left for home and skipped the trunker treat, and fought the traffic at aspen grove trick or treat. Sugar crazied and all!

Lord of the Rings Movie night

Movie night with the extended addition of course...its a tradition of ours ( for about 9 months) to have our twin friends come over enjoy papa john's pizza and movie or two. It started with Mega mind, then went to Avatar the last bender, Clue etc. It has been so much fun! So Lord of the Rings was selected to prep us up for the hobbit in December. Nerds yes! Refer to the chart from factfixx.com on nerd vs geek. Though I do fancy Arrested Development as a must see once a year on my list of movies with A&E Pride and Prejudice. I delivered a dinner to a friend(who just had a baby last week) of ham casserole which we called a break. We only got through half of the 2 movie that night. No worries we will finish them all in November with another movie night. Aww!... Sigh!... The joys of a blu-ray and good friends!

Becoming Van Gogh

So we went to the becoming Van Gogh exhibit at the DAM this last week for our weekly date and it was slightly underwhelming compared to the other exhibits they have had previously.

With viewing Van Goghs I love seeing the texture of the strokes which on most of the pieces in the exhibit  was lost in a glass refection which covered the painting. Though for the $10 each person, we paid for it was worth it, if I paid $20 I would have hated it.
Van Gogh finding his style was highlighted and my favorite part was his Japanese prints. They were beautiful! His life was more the highlight then his art in the exhibit.... the audio was distracting to the art more than enlightening, I ended up turning off my audio and glaring at the few self-portraits that they had of him and pondered on the difficulty that it would be to stare at myself in a mirror and paint, no wonder he had an interesting crazy look in his eyes. If I could talk to Van Gogh I would want to ask him if he was proud that his art went big or totally embarrassed. With my art if someone took my beginning sketches and mainly highlight them not displaying the best pieces in an exhibit--I would be embarrassed.

Iron Chef "Corn"

We had Iron Chef last Saturday it was corn! No corny jokes, just alot of corn pudding, corn meals and the winner made corn Polenta with lime and cilantro. It was spicy it cleared my sinus and so hot I had to drink tons of water but I loved it! Little C slept for alot of it and Peanut woke up from a nap right before we went to the party in downtown so he was clingy on my lap which everyone know that was not normal behavior for him. Though when he noticed there was soda, he livened up and chugged it down! Next Iron Chef is ginger!

Victorian Horrors

Photo from A sort of fairytale blogspot
Like last year, we went to the Molly Brown house for the Victorian horrors on our weekly date. It was tales of the sea commemorating the 100 year anniversary of the titanic. It was awesome! What is a Victorian Halloween story read without Edgar Allen Poe? This year his poem was Anabel Lee, the others stories were amazing too. Scary and thoughtful... not creepy, the way I like it (I'm a scary cat that will punch if annoyed in haunted house)!

The storytellers were fabulous, and there were three older high tea enthusiast women who were in costume on our tour, I absolutely love seeing older people going about life having fun and in costume. They don't let their age stop them from doing things. They told me a good tea place was Miss B's downtown, which  I have not tried yet. We love going to the Victorian horrors  and we will go again as long as we live in the area.  Though weather was hotter then last year so Mr Incredible frowned on the fact that they did not give us apple cider, it just meant that we sweated a little... OK it was a lot, it was really hot in the house. But all in all it was fun night, despite the house was very hot!

The next day at 7 am, I met up with my dear friend at La Mars donuts( love there seasonal donuts pumpkin) I got Carmel apple cider which was warranted with the weather before my photography seminar that I had a love-hate relationship towards. I loved it because it was inspiring! I hated it because it was no techniques of photography taught and very long!

Clothing

Lately our Peanut has been wanting to dress himself. He is very independent(like when he tries to drink out of the milk jug). He will take off his shirt and put on mine or Mr Increditable black, and white stripped shirt it's funny. It looks like he is wearing a dress a large dress, which he loves to run around and play, instead of wearing pants.

The first time he put on one of daddy's shirts for himself he put the sleeve over his head and got stuck, screaming for my help it. When he put on his own shirt for the first time he put it on upside down stretching the collar and was frustrated that he could not figure out, how to get his arms in the sleeves, and what went wrong. It's a step up from his nudist days on the balcony, hopefully he will not go back.

Canning

Photo from Jared's Gaint Pumpkin Fest 2010 when we went!

So on friday I went and canned at my friends house sans kids we canned applesauce, apple pie filling and cucumbers. Crazy because of how much we had to do and yet fun! I miss my garden this year, due to little C coming we forthwent the community garden, so missed lookng for my butternut squash like an easter egg hunt and trying to grow a mid-sized gaint pumpkin, perhaps this next year.Gaint pumpkins once they hit 850 lbs are to flat to look like beautiful pumpkins.

Sickness was rapid at our house...the only one not effected was me... so that shot our weekend to a low. Though our babysitter came as usual for a weekly date we went to Hotel Translyvia a tradition of going and watching one halloween movie every october since we were married and going to alot of feastivals and parties. I like pumpkins to much to eat to deface them, (its like putting avacodos on on your face, a waste of a good fruit)  gourds are a different story, they grown to be carved on. They are hard to find in stores.

Korkers take forever

Korker - Pumpkin

So I attempted to make korker hair bows bad idea. One because they take forever to make the korker curl and you have to have tons of ribbon... no wonder why I see tons of people buying them on wholesale for a dollar or 1.25. The ones that I started to make took me like 4 hours+ to do and I'm still not done. And if you see that I have a korker on my crib shoes in the shop that are black and small mark my words they are going to be expensive! Korkers you are killing me, never again.

On the bright side my jingle bells came in with my monarch butterfly wings! So I went to crafting and here is what I got.

If you want them message me and I will give them to you for 10.00 + shipping

Heart these christmas tutu and shoes.

Craft Fair + taste of Asia party

Mango Lassi

So on Saturday, I went and helped my prego friend with her C.C baby inc booth at the overland high craft fair. It was really fun, her display were amazing... I regret I didn't have a camera! C.C. Baby Inc is couture baby boutique stuff, she had amazing deals I wanted to buy it all up, instead I sold it. I also had the opportunity to stroll around tried some green lemonade made of kale and found a cupcake bakery named two sistahs with no tasters... how lame is that... hopefully better then gigis, those are way to sweet with little flavor. The Denver cupcake truck has yummy cupcakes they are just in Denver and have no printed schedule that I know of. Oh, how I long for the amazing sprinkles cupcakes, so intensive was my longing a couple weeks ago that I almost bought an overpriced mix at William and Sonomas, but Mr. Incredible stopped me and made me some chocolate ones at home.  The ladies in the booth next to ours from Oh Fudge!spoiled us and gave us their left over samples,  truly divinity in my mouth you can order through them via email, that plus to the 1.5 pounds I bought was able to clean up and enjoy both the cold and the Avengers that night.

Still I can't believe how cold it got so quick. so we have been busting out our banana dulce tea, which gives me great delight. Yesterday, Mr. Incredible made a fabulous spread of Asia, when a man is determined to cook I stand aside, we had chicken vinadaloo, naan bread, Thai potato curry, Cambodian curry, Thai custard and mango lassis. Our neighbors that came over were awesome company. I'm so glad we did it, Mr. Incredible is grateful for all the left overs.

Little Model

This was from august and I never published it. We went to southglenn fountain to allow Peanut to burn energy out and we were sadden by the fact that we did not bring our camera, seeing  a professional photographer there taking pictures of her son. Peanut did many happy dances in the fountain along with circles around the fountain. Joyous and happy the entire time.  His hamminess attracted the attention of CBESS photographer and asked us if she could get pictures of him. We said sure and she good some amazing photos of him! We are definitely going to get our family photos from her hopefully in the snow!

Back to Africa

We went on our weekly date to the DAM, where Mr Increditble and I loved the African art by El Anatsui a ghanain it was truly inspiring! He created art in so many mediums, aluminum, wood, clay, acylics etc. My favorite was the everchanging pieces of bottle caps and other pieces that looked liked African textiles in the way they flowed. Watching the documentary of him, he said art freed him, and allowed him to express his history through his pieces, for example the Peak milk cap sculptures that are showing daily life in Ghana and consumption. What an amazing man, I'm so glad we went to it.Then we enjoyed the deliable foods at palettes along with the art in there. We talked of art styles that we love and how we are inspired to use our environment to make art...all the cardboard boxes we got in the garage, instead of making the cardboard forts this time we are going to make an art piece.  It's going to be fabulous!

Where's the respect?

I have been annoyed with hearing people tell me, that they could/would never let there husbands serve in the military so they could not be me. Seriously you are going to frankly voice your opinion to me about it and not support me as a friend. Not cool! I never whined to my friends about it, actually I never talked about it but focused on other things. Yes, did I miss him? Absolutely! But if the benefits of health care were not there I would not have survived.   I've read news articles that said the culture in the USA is turned to not respecting our troops. Which saddens me, I'm grateful for my grandparents and others that went to war for our country and everyone who fought for what... I did not have to witness! It's horrible not to see the respect! I've seen it and have seen a great deal of respect from older veterans and some businesses, but the younger generation and most people do not get it.

After the debates last night I feel more lost in which candidate can get congress to not cut our benefits to the military families. But I guess I'm realizing people in the USA really don't care and understand the freedom which they have. Switzerland may be neutral but their people are the army that defends their freedom.

Be respectful of others that sacrifice in your behalf and look at the pay they get before you judge and start cutting benefits--slavery is outlawed and indentured servants a no go, military service will become that if benefits get cut. So if no one goes into the military service. Will a national draft come if military is reduced and we are at war? What then another Vietnam? Where vets come home messed up and are not taken care of. The private-sector will not care nor have the funds to help.

Cookie recipe election and 7-11 coffee cup votes

As you know during election time my favorite poll is the cookie recipe poll and the results came out. With 58 % for Michelle, and Ann 40%, 2% can't decide. According to the recipes I'd take a double chocolate chip over an oatmeal cookie anyday. Also, the 7-11 coffee cup count is very acurrate as the cookie recipe poll. Obama won!  I'm still not surpised that polls are pointing to Obama, Romney does not stand a chance if he does not win Ohio and traditionally speaking the incumbent always wins.

I  wonder about this coffee poll are people who drink coffee most likely to vote for a man that doesn't drink coffee like them. People want to vote for people that are like them. Is drinking coffee a factor? According to some news reports people will not vote for a guy that is mormon, and as for me who is mormon I don't don't base my sole opinion of a candidate on their religion or what they drink. But clearly many do!

Case of the Mondays

Mondays are notorious for being bad, mine are normally ok. So here's what happened my friends come and visit,  Mr. Incredible leaves to school, and Peanut goes down for a nap...not so bad, actually pretty awesome!

While I could not leave little C due to feeding her, Peanut created an epic disaster with blinds, bodily fluids and more in his room. Ahh! That shot my day, to repairing the blinds, and a huge clean-up. As I was cleaning his room, he went and throw an entire toilet paper roll in the toilet. I got him to fish it all out! Thus resulting in having to stick Peanut in his old crib so he would not get in any more trouble and I would have my eyes on him, resulted in realizing his crib has be re-modeled and the structure fortified for little C to use it. Luckily I saw that before she used it! Off to home depot for screws to bolt down the drop slide!

Yay 8:30 got here! Peanut was ready for bed and Mr. Incredible close to home! One the bright side I had an order to fill and the shop is going to be highlighted on Mountain Standard Time blog.

birthday bash

I forgot to post about my favorite man's birthday bash. Mr Incredible had a birthday  he's so high up on the hill he's getting nose bleeds. I'm so glad he was born and we got to be together for so long. He's awesome! All he wanted for his birthday like he has for the past few years was a birthday party. I even threw in a day of going off and shooting next month in there. He loves to shoot, I'm encouraging him to hunt, by telling him we will buy a freezer for whatever he hunts, and to make it fair he can go bow hunting or use black powder.
We had about 20 of our friends, butternut squash soup and a great Costco cake. Peanut had a hard time sharing all of his toys. But it worked out perfectly! Happy birthday my love! You are the best!

Photos + Politics

So Peanut was ok for the photo shoot today with a clip on bow tie(made by yours truly this morning) that was red polka dots and black shirt, bribed with candy to leave both on. Little  C just didn't like the light in her eyes. I got her to model for a few hair clips at home which she did until she got the angry elf face on then we stopped the session. We opted to go home and watch top model and eat lunch after the photo shoot and not the giant pumpkin weigh in event and the scavenger hunt on main street...boring I know...but with kids I've had to go their pace, at least for this season in my life. Top model steam punk and video games... awesome!

Tis' the season for the annoying political surveys, seriously leave me alone political nuts, I hate that
voters registration is public and that anyone can call everyone on the list or come to their door and ask if you voted or whom they will vote for. Such actions I hate...but grateful I'm in a free country and can politely vocalize my annoyance and not get punished! I'm a liberal with different opinions on each key issue!

My opinion on the candidates at this time can be summed up in my La Mars donut experience a few weeks ago with mitt yummy in the shape of an elephant and blue sugar and dough obama in the shape of a donkey and red sugar, they looked different but tasted the same. With that being said the president is not whom I look at for my failures, nor our countries failures. Seriously, I'm more concerned with the congress and senate, limit their terms, those guys have no clue what goes on in the world at times.

Mt Rushmore
My favorite things about election time, besides the debates and concerns with respects to the middle east, are the cookie recipes that the first ladies and runner up wife makes public and their fashion attire throughout the debates. Deeply superficial, perhaps but so is the idea that they understand the common US citizen's life and daily life routines. They are not like us commoners, so I admire their designer names and fashion statements like I do the royal family and long to buy their dresses.  BBC news is my favorite place to learn the least bias info in simple terms. Like I've said before I wish we had a stronger multi party system.  Apricot Iron Chef tonight! Super excited!

Fall days

Fall flower Hair clip

So I've been crazy busy.... but not with blogging. Go figure. So what has gone on in my my life. Little C is more of a long C and has an obsession with clothes and tutus. All things girly!  Peanut is as crazy as ever talking more and climbing up to the top of the cabinets in the kitchen. Give him a good 5 minutes to himself and he will create hours for me to clean. He's so thoughtful!  He tells Mr. Incredible that C's korker hair bows are weird. I've been busy cursing at my camera and computer for not working properly, I've joined the frilled lizard boutique team, I'm creating and marketing for them. Bow ties, tutus, boy ties, hairclips, boots and dying onesies are what I've been doing. Mr Incredible is still our weekend warrior and will graduate soon. The family debate South Korea or Paris for the celebration of the new grad. So far Korean beaches are winning.  Little C and Peanut have been fab models for me and other professionals hopefully that luck will continue to saturday when we take family pictures. We are excited to go see Van Gogh exhibit in October and Day in Pompeii tomorrow. Happy fall day!

Don't tiptoe through the tulips

Was the manta as we went to the Tulip Fest near Seattle last week. Mr. Incredible was gone on a work related training. So Peanut and I decided to visit my friends the Asian sensations. It was awesome even though we did not make it to Tulip town. While we were looking at the millions of tulips a photographer was there with a freezing bride and groom. It was perfect gloomy weather for photos. I loved it even though I was forbidden to tiptoe through them. Then we went to a German town the next day and stopped in to get locally made Turkish delights that is when I discovered I don't like them. Enjoyed Jollibee's burgers while there. It was a delightful visit.

Afternoon high tea

Photo from examiner.com

So, as a belated birthday gift Mr. Incredible surprised me with an afternoon high tea at the Brown Palace. It was awesome, I felt like Annie at Daddy Warbucks mansion with the servers uniforms looking like 19th century maids and the real silver. Ahhh... memories, all those many musically- filled hours at the mortuary watching Annie! ...Yes... I said mortuary, my grandparents lived in an apartment attached to one and I went there after school alot. With many siblings at home-- I liked feeling in charge of the remote and my grandparents granted me that rare opportunity...they gladly forbore my singing and dancing in front of the tv as well as encouraged it, while my sibling run from it.

One cannot beat the experience of having an accomplished pianist play happy birthday on the grand piano and many people whom I don't know, sing out of tune...all for me! It is what dreams are made of! The vanilla roobios tea and the white chocolate Mandarin Orange scones were divine! Ahh, Mr. Incredible made a wonderful choice!

Car troubles

Car trouble tammola
from pinterest.com

"Are you joking with me?" I said to Mr. Incredible apparently while he was driving home late lat night the check engine light went on again after we already repaired the brakes and got the works done on it, and revisited Meineke for that very reason just two days before. So naturally, I assume its a conspiracy against me by Meineke in order to get more money and make it so I'm stuck at home on our last days of vacation .

Come to find out, from a nice Italian mechanic named Mario, that was not the case the air sensor was truly broken.. I-70 would have had been more polluted if we went on our trip.  Paliasade will have to wait... Sadden by the fact that we won't run in the Peach fest 5 miler or little C won't get to show off her peach and bees apparel from Gymboree and be at grandmas house with our shirts covered in peach juice on Saturday.  Thankfully our family will be there when we visit next time even if the peaches are not!

So the newly altered plan is going to the Denver Nature and science museum or DAM, indoor swimming pool today. I found the coolest swim classes in the area, teaching one on one child survival swimming techniques. Watch that video on the page it's awesome... the price not so much, but the fact that they learn to survive in water and not drown priceless. I want to start them in the fall or winter! Waterworld adventure tomorrow (with the already bought tickets)...kid free for a few hours. Yay! There are moments of joy in what was first viewed as a disaster! I love life!

Alone with children survival 101

Mr. Incredible again went off as a weekend warrior for 2 weeks training to defend our country. Leaving me with Peanut and little C. Clingy Peanut became.... and surprisingly jealous of little C.   Here are my survival skills that I used.

1. Take naps when the kids are napping. It was rare when they napped at the same time...but when they did-it was divine and so did I.

2. Time outs are beautiful, at least for Peanut. Spanking was not effective due to the huge cloth diaper he would just giggle at me.Time out were a threat to his freedom and he hated that idea.

3. Peanut is a runner, so when going out harnesses in the shape of a monkey are a delight.Even if it looked like i was dragging him through the water park it worked, preventing him from being drown. So it prevented him from being squashed by a car Peanut.

4. Meet up with friends often that enjoy your kids (even if they are running wild because they don't understand why Daddy left or when he's getting back). Thank you my lifesaving friends and family! I'm so grateful and indebted to your kindness in overlooking our wildness and being willing to hang out with us.

5. Talk to friends.... taking a break from munchkin language and loneliness is necessary. So many days blended together because I had no break from the kiddos. Talking to my friends was that  welcomed break and desperately needed.

6. Enjoy the time, for me I realize when I'm bored I clean and organize a lot. I only discovered that! Mr. Incredible probably hopes that I would do that more often, because I deep clean everything I can get my hands on.

7. Don't run yourself too thin! The park will always be there, the pool party can wait....don't force your kiddos to be on a schedule when they are cranky. I took them both to a Spanish class for Peanut and he became bored to whining and started to act up. We left the class hoping that yoga and swim class will produce different results in the future.

When Mr. Incredible came home I felt I could breath, take a shower and an added bonus sleep in!  Glad you are back!

Timing is everything

     File:The Persistence of Memory.jpg
           The Persistence of Memory

Cry, wail...cry is what I woke up at 4 this morning from Peanut sitting on his bed, he was accompanied by a beep, beep, beep coming from the kitchen upstairs.Well, it turns out it was me who set the timer, I cleaned behind the oven and  resetting the clock instead I reset the timer to go off  9 hours and 20 minutes later on accident.

Loathing

71...82 .... faster, faster, only 15 more minutes of this bike torture I thought to myself, to add wound to injure  the horrible commercials that the Republican party made to deface Obama were on the large screens that were straight in front of me, no escape! Ahh and boo to the lows that both parties dupe to void talking about the real issues. Wish we had a strong multi-party system in our country! Even the fishing game on the rower was not fun today probably due to the fact that my days are numbered til when Mr. Incredible leaves to be a warrior for our country for a longer stay then the weekend, so I ended up just rowing like there was no tomorrow also frustrated with the news highlighting the psycho mental state and a discussuion on  how to tell a psychic person that they need help before they go into a theater and open fire. Poor victims of the Aurora theater shooting! Serious have you ever told anybody they need to go to therapy because you are afraid they will kill a lot of people? I don't think it would pan over too well!  My muscles always ache with complaints! Exercise is a necessary evil that must be done.

Yesterday, we finally picked up our mail this weekend, a long awaited package from zulily. Mr. Incredible opened it to reveal a Lightning Mcqueen potty set with a toilet seat, stool and foldable toilet seat Peanut burst out in squeals of delight, Disney Cars is one of his favorite movies . He even was playing with them like regular cars (as per his usual routine of making everything into a car). This morning I told him to follow me, which he did caring the Cars stool. He was excited to follow me until I put his beloved lightning mcqueen seat on its intended use: the toilet he started to wail a mournful cry, like I was defiling his toy! Well the cars set motivated him to actually get on the toilet. Last night the fold-able mcqueen had a posh sleep right next to his biggest fan.

Cheesy Perfection

Have you ever had those moments where you thought were just so perfect that nothing else in that moment could make you happier? They are very few and far in between.  I have moments like that when Mr. Incredible and I are with the kids and they are asleep... hence why I have time to ponder and reflect on the awesome that is my life!

Yesterday I had one those afternoons when I went shopping in Denver Cherry Creek area at one of my favorite boutiques, Nest, got my chewbeads bracelet, ultra soft  pj's for Peanut and beautiful black shiny shoes for little C (that Mr. Incredible would claim are way too much money and I would have to tell him fashion hurts--and that shoes for her are 5 times cheaper than shoes for me).

Then realizing upon leaving Nest that- I was very close to the The Truffle Cheese Shop. I had to go! I heart little shops and cafes like this. Tres Jolies tea shop closed which I loved, the owners were awesome. I'm still mourning the loss and missing my tea (Avatar reference I know I'm a nerd).

Aww, the taste of Europe...-via  Portuguese goat cheese and Sicilian Olives. Perfection! Got Mr. Incredible some Spanish  Bleu Cheese(because I knew he was envious of my rendezvous to the cheese shop), some goat gouda, more olives and a baguette and headed home for a delightful lunch of cheese and bread. I didn't have to fly to Europe to feel like I was there! Most of the $1.70 worth of olives were devoured on the I-25.

dead nail

So as of the last couple of days, I'm excited about the new Opi nail polish collection coming in August: the Germany and the James Bond colors. Mainly I love their names like nein, nein! OK fine and Duestch you want me babe?. Hitting the 80's core fanfare. Oh yeah, I love my 80's rock!

Peanut was in dire need of his toe nail needing to be clipped off... it was getting overgrown. I started to clip it and more then half the whole toe nail fall off, no abnormal color of yellowish or purple indictating a bruise or hitting it on something. I went searching for answers on what disease he had(love google for that matter) --I came up with hand, foot, and mouth (even though he never had a fever, or the rashes just the unexplained dead toenail). Went to the doctor and she said it was the way he slept. Peanut sleeps with his butt up in the air and legs tucked underneath so his toes get the all the weight. His toenail bed probably broke by his pose. Who would  have thought! She informed us that his nail may grow in deformed. Guys can get away with having knarley toes nails. Look at the chiccos ads they display fungus ridden toenails in their adverstisements loud and proud!

News: Peanut is a ham

Peanut has gotten two splinters this week on his hand. Both times, I had to give him candy to not attack Mr. Incredible while he removes it from his other hand. Peanut will not let go of the candy, he is determined to eat it. It's quiet a sight to see, he is death grabbing the ice cream malt balls while trying to free his other hand of Daddy.

Also, on note with Peanut...he has warned Daddy to shave, By feeling his face face and saying " you need to shave! You're too hairy!" We sat there just laughing and laughing. Peanut is a ham!

He loves our across the grass neighbors newly put up play plastic slide area and has often declared loudly "outside" as he points joyfully running in place to the play area in the house. He enjoys smashing his face on the glass window and saying "hi" to our neighbors, along with going all-natural on the balony.

The winner is Britax b-agile

Went to stroller depot and we went to see if the britax b-agile was better then the city mini-double it was. With its easy use middle bar and infant insert for little C. It even fit in the corolla truck with the city mini single stroller with plenty of room to spare. Stroller Depot was amazing customer service and had amazon price on the stroller. When I need a double jogger stroller I will go to them. Now with britax two kids are easy to haul around.

Peanut all-natural

We got Peanut a sandpit in the shape of a stump. With the hot weather we did not get the sand yet. so we filled the stump with about an inch of water and let Peanut go out with his diaper on. Thirty seconds after that while eating I look up and he is all- natural waving and saying "hi" to the neighbors leisurely sitting on his chair. It was so funny!

Little C

"Breath in... breath out" he told me. The bright pink tulip garden with an Asian stone bridge picture covering the lights didn't comfort me... while strapped down in a T form to the table. A big man to my left of me whom I just met, stared at my exposed body like a auto mechanic viewing a car. Seriously unhumanizing! My body in 4 minutes would be split open and quickly my child would be introduced to the world. Nervously I breathed in wishing that I could itch my belly as they rubbed it clean. It was painfully not being able to itch-- at that point not knowing that the general anesthesia they were injecting into my veins has that effect on me.

Then I woke up screaming at my Dr "stop that" apparently I had a nightmare. He was as shocked as I was, it was embarrassing! Thankfully I was not swinging or kicking. I fell into a twilight sleep not noticing what was happening, then asked where's my baby...is little C healthy?  At a whooping 8.3 lbs, yes she was healthy. Little C is beautiful and sweet...and holding her in my arms was worth that pain! The recovery with 2 kids is interesting not being able to pick up one due to Peanut's weight of around 40 lbs and having only one hand fully functional with 2 kids always is interesting. If you don't know I have Cerebral Palsy. With Peanut liking to body slam and does not yet understand gentle touching with little C its making me crazy, because in reality how many times can you say "no" before sounding insane.

So I'm still in the market for a double stroller that is easy to fold with one hand and can fit in a Toyota corolla. I like my car at this point I have no need or desire to upgrade to a less Eco-friendly car when mine. I've found only two models so far city mini double stroller and the new britax b-agile double. I have to test out how easy the new britax buckle is to undo first before I make a discussion.

ruffled onesies

So after so many cute pinterest patterns I found and some cursed patterns that pained my brain when I followed the instructions. I decided to use a polka dotted fabric that I have alot of and make ruffles on my sewing machine and sharpen up my sewing skills. I was inspired by a ruffled skirt that though having an old onesies I decided to ruffle it--to freshen it up. Then upcycle an old brown silk sheet with the same polka dotted fabric and peach tulle and turn it into a 0-3 month shirt.

Great diaper change

So, last year we had so much fun at the Guinness book of world record cloth diaper change...we decided to participate again this year.  Peanut was up for the challenge in not fully having conquered the porcelain pot yet. It was entertaining to watch the hundreds of babies plus there parents in one small section waiting for the buzzer to go to off to start the change. Eco-friendly merchandise was given away right and left. I was given a shirt from Boppy pillow that stated " Whether from jugs or cans Boppy supports you!" Don't know where I will venture to wear the shirt... maybe at the La Leche League or meeting with a lactation consultant with oatmeal cookies in hand. Ha!

girls, lizards, and lions

Life goes by so quick... I'm 7 months cooked and we had our gender reveal party. We are having a girl! Peanut had a blast with the balloons at the party and the gluten free cake for grandma. I'm so glad that so many of our friends and grandma could come. It was fun and I'm excited for a girl.

So we have been taking advantage of the free days at the zoo... when it was freezing cold. It was awesome...most of the other people visiting the zoo were speaking different languages then English, which was really nice. Not a lot of people were there but the animals that are normally sleeping were moving around to keep warm, like the lions and tigers. So we got to talk to all the zoo workers and we found out that

Tigers are only 1/2 pound normally when they are born. The 20 month tiger was 856 pounds at the time. Crazy how fast they grow! I'm glad I don't have to dish out 20 pounds of meat per day.

Denver nature and science museum exhibit you vs sue was replaced with lizards and snakes. Peanut and Mr. Incredible loved running around the exhibits trying to find all the creatures. Peanut was a little scared of snakes. Not as afraid of the snakes as he his with our toy singing Santa that induces nightmares and makes him run the other direction when we push the button to start the music and the propeller. Who knew "Santa Clause is coming to town" song would strike so much fear into a person!
