Cub Annapolis

I don't know if I mentioned before I'm a cub scout den leader. Yes I am! When I got the call I was like.."No way!!... those boys are going to kill me!  I have no classroom management skills!" Well the manual teaches ways to help that! The first thing is says to deal with the fact that they will never be silent (hehe)!

I thought that the boys would be better then my 4 year-old... no, they are just bigger, but I love those boyz manic energy! Its adorable at pack meetings when they run up and show me all the awards they won. Looking at their excitment the hours I spent on paperwork, and getting the awards to them melt away! They have accomplished something and its building them up! Love it!

So tonight we put together a cubannapolis which is where one turns cardboard boxes into cars and race. Not as exciting as a zombie attack but you tube has some semi entertaining videos of leaders looking silly! I spent alot of time painting boxes. I'm hoping for a fun activity!

Long Ago my blog went silent

Long, long, long ago I was a semi-decent at blogging. Then a year ago life fall...I  mean I fall missed two steps and shattered my knee cap. It was insane that  missing two small steps on stairs and falling on the y-bike which I was carrying would shatter my cap into a million pieces. When I went to the ER and told them what happened and that I have cerebral palsy. Then they played the stupid card of "what you can walk? Yes, like I just said that is how I fall carrying a cumbersome bike down the stairs!"  I know I'm anomaly I can walk and run not perfectly straight...but I get around! Yes, my dream to run a 5k that summer was shattered too! Though the insurance company thinking that a third party( think mob or Tonya Harding)  involved gave me a few giggles knowing I broke such a rare bone to break by oneself.

I still have a hard time developing that  leg muscles, so its been a bit depressing at times along due to the fact that I got two toddlers to run after. Though one bonus was Peanut self potty-trained at that point. It was AWESOME, he did everything himself even washing his hands.  Grateful for all friends and family that have provided for so much support! WE went to Texas last year without Mr Incredible(was serving his country for two weeks) during the 109 degree weather(yuck!) and discovered Peanut have severe allergies to cats so much he can't be at homes with them! Poor Peanut and we discovered that dogs and cottonwoods are included on that list. on the other hand he has no food allergies--yay!

So last night, Mr Incredible spoiled me with an at home day spa night it was amazing! He always spoils me! I love him! So that is the last few years in a nutshell.

Thanksgiving b-day

I have been MIA, I know it! Yes, Peanut turned three and we could not be happier! We even made him a disney cars blanket, among other gifts, in hopes of him loving another blanket, so we can wash his baby blanket more regularly that my friend Lyns made for him. He loved the cars blanket and the cupcake that we got for him! Black friday was on thursday for me with the DVD sales and little C wanting feed through prime  3am shopping I had to wait.  We had a lovely thanksgiving celebrating with friends and Mr. Incredible's Mom came down to see little C get blessed and I had a girl's night out with my friend D viewing Van Gogh who got married the next day. She looked so beautiful and happy on her wedding day! I was so happy for her. Peanut was dressed in a red collared shirt(wedding colors) black bow tie and suit. He was so cute! Little C was lovely as usual in her pediped glittery red shoes. I love my family and friends. I wish that more of my family lived near by. CO has been having awesome weather! I'm finishing my kitty blanket for my sister and a custom wedding arrangement for a friend. Life is great!

Monster Mash

So went to my last photo from the heart seminar, actually loved it! I bought my photos to class and I was told to keep producing babies because they were beautiful and taking pictures! Ha! Then we went to Treat or Trick on the street in Littleton, and in front of Lola's Sugar Rush I was asked to interview on CNN because I'm an independent voter, Apparently the interviewer was not seasoned because the camera man was asking better questions. After a stop to shop in savory spice store and the evoo marketplace getting maple vinegar for some fall treats. We headed out to a party in Lakewood. Which was awesome! Then came back for our church party which was a bummer because it was overcrowded and Peanut was running a muck. So we left for home and skipped the trunker treat, and fought the traffic at aspen grove trick or treat. Sugar crazied and all!

Lord of the Rings Movie night

Movie night with the extended addition of course...its a tradition of ours ( for about 9 months) to have our twin friends come over enjoy papa john's pizza and movie or two. It started with Mega mind, then went to Avatar the last bender, Clue etc. It has been so much fun! So Lord of the Rings was selected to prep us up for the hobbit in December. Nerds yes! Refer to the chart from factfixx.com on nerd vs geek. Though I do fancy Arrested Development as a must see once a year on my list of movies with A&E Pride and Prejudice. I delivered a dinner to a friend(who just had a baby last week) of ham casserole which we called a break. We only got through half of the 2 movie that night. No worries we will finish them all in November with another movie night. Aww!... Sigh!... The joys of a blu-ray and good friends!

Becoming Van Gogh

So we went to the becoming Van Gogh exhibit at the DAM this last week for our weekly date and it was slightly underwhelming compared to the other exhibits they have had previously.

With viewing Van Goghs I love seeing the texture of the strokes which on most of the pieces in the exhibit  was lost in a glass refection which covered the painting. Though for the $10 each person, we paid for it was worth it, if I paid $20 I would have hated it.
Van Gogh finding his style was highlighted and my favorite part was his Japanese prints. They were beautiful! His life was more the highlight then his art in the exhibit.... the audio was distracting to the art more than enlightening, I ended up turning off my audio and glaring at the few self-portraits that they had of him and pondered on the difficulty that it would be to stare at myself in a mirror and paint, no wonder he had an interesting crazy look in his eyes. If I could talk to Van Gogh I would want to ask him if he was proud that his art went big or totally embarrassed. With my art if someone took my beginning sketches and mainly highlight them not displaying the best pieces in an exhibit--I would be embarrassed.

Iron Chef "Corn"

We had Iron Chef last Saturday it was corn! No corny jokes, just alot of corn pudding, corn meals and the winner made corn Polenta with lime and cilantro. It was spicy it cleared my sinus and so hot I had to drink tons of water but I loved it! Little C slept for alot of it and Peanut woke up from a nap right before we went to the party in downtown so he was clingy on my lap which everyone know that was not normal behavior for him. Though when he noticed there was soda, he livened up and chugged it down! Next Iron Chef is ginger!
