Gumballs can be daunting

So on Friday we had a day full of shopping with my dear friend, Mr. Incredible and Peanut. It was the Just Between Friends sale in Douglas County awesome deals, well organized. Mr. Incredible was amazing with figuring which strollers and car seats worked and how for my friend. Peanut found a tonka truck and pushed it around the whole show floor not realizing that marble was different then what he is used to which is carpet so the truck would speed up and he could not hang on. Then he cry that the truck escaped his grasp, all the women were in awe at the sight of the chubby 2 foot guy racing around the floor.

Hunger struck our party before the rain blasted us, we ended up at Cheesecake Factory and devoured divine meals always with cheesecake then headed for another leg of shopping. Which landed us at the daunting kids outlet store Gumballs that was like a bomb hit a kids mall and vomited up products covering everything. I was afraid Peanut would get lost in the merchandise and never be found. Though there was alot of brand new and great products it was just tad bit overbearing. Great cheap prices though. I was glad there was no earthquake I would not have survived.

Then off to baby depot in Burlington coat factory highly recommend baby store hidden secret. Love that place and its sales. Once Upon Child was on the list, Peanut was the model for a graco cherry blossom stroller, he is one of the few babies you look at and there is no doubt in your mind that he is all boy. Well that is all for now!

Politics and Candy Shop War

Colorado Elections are just around the corner. So, I decided with the family night of politics like my Dad did long ago with his children in hopes it will become a tradition. We get informed about the all the propositions, amendments and candidates. Then we have two ballots each one on which we guess what the outcome will be and the second what we are going to vote for. What I wish is that the US politics would be multi party system instead of two parties. I hate the social cultural tattoo that has been in recent to not discuss politics that is why we do this to be informed on issues that effect our lives both federally and statewide. Now on to my review of the Candy Shoppe War by Brandon Mull.

The Book Club for the Candy Shoppe War was fun, with sugar drops and brain washing white fudge. It's a good book for people who are Harry Potter fans. Though it is more of a tween age reader level its still great. I would read it if you have not. That is all!

Cavalia

After a week of adventure and misadventures with teething Peanut and great Filipino food. At last the weekend, joyous time for it was time to go to Cavalia. A fabulous show with horses and acrobats. It was better then what I thought it would be. Seriously, seeing acrobats doing tricks on full speed gallopping horses there can be nothing as amazing. I'm so glad we decided to go to Cavalia instead of the circus which is in town.
At one point in the show you see a ball that looks like the boulder straight out of Indiana Jones and the acrobat balances on top and does back flips on the boulder with easy and holding a torch at the beginning lite with fire. Well Adieu, Peanut is in need of a nap.

Dol it up with tigers

Peanut's birthday is coming up soon. I have been it for about 6 months now. Dol is a huge Korean tradition of celebrating the child's birthday because the child has survived. I know we are not Korean but Mr. Incredible is a linguist and he was not here for the birth of Peanut so it's a huge deal to us. I'm super excited and stressed. We are using the theme little tigers and trying to use traditional screens for the background with balloons. I forgot to the party is in Texas to maximize the amount of family and friends that will come. I'm about to print the invites. I have to create a save the date web page and order all of the many party favors that I have picked out.
I love all things lanterns hence the photo of what I'm going to do just add a cute little tiger to it. I am making cupcake tops with him in a tiger costume, it's way cute. Cupcake toppers are not hard to make at all

.

How to make easy cupcake circular toppers
Supplies: Print photos of what you want to use about a quarter size, tooth picks, scissors that cut patterns (are the cutest), stock paper that fits the theme, and clear tape.
Step 1: Gather supplies
Step 2: Cut photos in circles and tape or glue them to the paper, then cut.
Step 3: Tape finished circles to toothpicks
Step 4: Put them on cupcakes and enjoy.

Leaves to the Dark side

Yesterday I went shopping on this very unpopulated road in town which means the speed limit is up to 50 mph, which is always a plus. I always had thought that west coast Falls just were not as impressive as New England falls, until I saw one tree by the road that was bright yellow leaves silhouetted against the blue cloudless sky equals perfection. Ahh, I love the fall here even though I miss the East Coast.
So , a couple of weekends ago Mr. Incredible and I found Peanuts' birthday gift which is a Stars Teddy Bear from build-a-bear. These awesome star wars bears invaded build a bear for a limited time. Mr. Incredible says "every man needs have a teddy bear". Peanut got to choose which bear he wanted the darkside, yes darth vader is the one he choose. I thought of the South Korean Teddy Bear Musuem and hope they pay tribute be getting the blue harvest colored bear dressed in all the star wars clothes posed as the movie posters were. The 80s movie poster is like classic art, right?

Well I'm off to finish The Candy Shop War book again and get things finished for the book club. Adieu for now!

Scarecrows festival

Another weekend adventure at our house was the scarecrow festival in Arvada we were pumped up from our Harry Potter book club from the night before. Yes, I said Harry Potter we are nerds! I even made cupcake toppers with most of the characters. One of friends made an awesome looking cake and wands made out of starbursts and tootsie rolls.

So on saturday we went to downtown of Arvada which was extremely fun. They had a ton of scarecrows decorated all around the square and on various streets. Mr. Incredible throughly enjoyed the Harry Potter one. I was digging the wicked witch one. Peanut was getting frustrated after a few hours so we did not go to the water tower 100th celebration to hear the winners. They had a costume parade and many activities for the kids. We even went to the army surplus store and got a pair of binoculars for Cavalia next weekend.

My dreams were completely diminished when I discovered on the hayride was pulled around by John Deer Tractors instead of horses. Yes, going around a little quaint town on horse would have been fun like Gilmore Girls. Weird as that is, I love the feel of small towns.

We even got to see the zombie crawl in Littleton where a mass of zombies were learning the dance moves to Thriller, before they mobbed Littleton streets. That is all for now!

Nook the beast

So on Tuesday our Joovy Nook high chair was delivered to the door. I love when I don't have to go down two flights of stairs to just turn around and haul up the goods. After I put it up, Peanut was jumping on it because he was so excited to have it here. The leather look is like a lexus and the compact fold makes it excellent for small spaces. Peanut was pushing the food all around the tray because he was eating from the Bumbo before. Bananas were not his favorite but he gleefully throw them on the ground and watch mommy and daddy pick off the floor.

I know non-vegetarian Men tend to like to eat at least one creature if not more per meal, I just did not know how young it starts until today. Peanut devoured his creature like a beast. I've tried to feed Peanut salmon, chicken but he did not enjoy it. Our Dr. suggested that we try hot dogs, the thought kind of grossed me out not fully being able to identify what the meat is. So I got some bison, he was happily eating it so much that, none of it was purposely thrown on the floor. That is all!

Weekend warrior

So last weekend Mr. Incredible went to his weekend warrior duty, I'm proud of him. Which I told him to take the car to avoid the temptation to go to cider festival in lakewood or the historical denver harvest festival, when I should be staying at home filling my mind with power through the great words of inspired men for a total of 8 hours for both Saturday and Sunday. Which I did avoid temptation and I was changed by listening to their words.

Peanut is liking the running thing, he looks like an old man running from one support to the next with little balance and grace. Though saturday was a cooler day in Co. I could not open the glass door to let the breeze in for fear of old man peanut falling out and the continous traffic of squirrels on the balcony. I'm terrified that they are going to come into the apartment! So I need ideas on how to get them to stay away. Peanut also did not just have one tooth cut but 4 teeth on Saturday and Sunday. Well that is all for now, Peanut just woke up!

Recycling Glass is not easy

So I really really like izze a 70% juice that fizzes because of the carbonated water. It's locally made in CO but most of you can get it from Whole Foods. So it comes in a glass container, I didn't realize how hard it is to find a place to recycle glass containers until I went looking for it. I had to find a data base I thought recycling those energy effective bulbs with mercury in them was bad gone. I want to save the planet but I don't want to pay an arm and a leg to just recycle!

Dear businesses that are concerned with the planets survival if you make glass please have a way for us to easily help save the planet to. That is all!
