The winner is Britax b-agile
Went to stroller depot and we went to see if the britax b-agile was better then the city mini-double it was. With its easy use middle bar and infant insert for little C. It even fit in the corolla truck with the city mini single stroller with plenty of room to spare. Stroller Depot was amazing customer service and had amazon price on the stroller. When I need a double jogger stroller I will go to them. Now with britax two kids are easy to haul around.
Peanut all-natural
We got Peanut a sandpit in the shape of a stump. With the hot weather we did not get the sand yet. so we filled the stump with about an inch of water and let Peanut go out with his diaper on. Thirty seconds after that while eating I look up and he is all- natural waving and saying "hi" to the neighbors leisurely sitting on his chair. It was so funny!
Little C
"Breath in... breath out" he told me. The bright pink tulip garden with an Asian stone bridge picture covering the lights didn't comfort me... while strapped down in a T form to the table. A big man to my left of me whom I just met, stared at my exposed body like a auto mechanic viewing a car. Seriously unhumanizing! My body in 4 minutes would be split open and quickly my child would be introduced to the world. Nervously I breathed in wishing that I could itch my belly as they rubbed it clean. It was painfully not being able to itch-- at that point not knowing that the general anesthesia they were injecting into my veins has that effect on me.
Then I woke up screaming at my Dr "stop that" apparently I had a nightmare. He was as shocked as I was, it was embarrassing! Thankfully I was not swinging or kicking. I fell into a twilight sleep not noticing what was happening, then asked where's my baby...is little C healthy? At a whooping 8.3 lbs, yes she was healthy. Little C is beautiful and sweet...and holding her in my arms was worth that pain! The recovery with 2 kids is interesting not being able to pick up one due to Peanut's weight of around 40 lbs and having only one hand fully functional with 2 kids always is interesting. If you don't know I have Cerebral Palsy. With Peanut liking to body slam and does not yet understand gentle touching with little C its making me crazy, because in reality how many times can you say "no" before sounding insane.
So I'm still in the market for a double stroller that is easy to fold with one hand and can fit in a Toyota corolla. I like my car at this point I have no need or desire to upgrade to a less Eco-friendly car when mine. I've found only two models so far city mini double stroller and the new britax b-agile double. I have to test out how easy the new britax buckle is to undo first before I make a discussion.

ruffled onesies
So after so many cute pinterest patterns I found and some cursed patterns that pained my brain when I followed the instructions. I decided to use a polka dotted fabric that I have alot of and make ruffles on my sewing machine and sharpen up my sewing skills. I was inspired by a ruffled skirt that though having an old onesies I decided to ruffle it--to freshen it up. Then upcycle an old brown silk sheet with the same polka dotted fabric and peach tulle and turn it into a 0-3 month shirt.

Great diaper change
So, last year we had so much fun at the Guinness book of world record cloth diaper change...we decided to participate again this year. Peanut was up for the challenge in not fully having conquered the porcelain pot yet. It was entertaining to watch the hundreds of babies plus there parents in one small section waiting for the buzzer to go to off to start the change. Eco-friendly merchandise was given away right and left. I was given a shirt from Boppy pillow that stated " Whether from jugs or cans Boppy supports you!" Don't know where I will venture to wear the shirt... maybe at the La Leche League or meeting with a lactation consultant with oatmeal cookies in hand. Ha!

girls, lizards, and lions

Life goes by so quick... I'm 7 months cooked and we had our gender reveal party. We are having a girl! Peanut had a blast with the balloons at the party and the gluten free cake for grandma. I'm so glad that so many of our friends and grandma could come. It was fun and I'm excited for a girl.
So we have been taking advantage of the free days at the zoo... when it was freezing cold. It was awesome...most of the other people visiting the zoo were speaking different languages then English, which was really nice. Not a lot of people were there but the animals that are normally sleeping were moving around to keep warm, like the lions and tigers. So we got to talk to all the zoo workers and we found out that
Tigers are only 1/2 pound normally when they are born. The 20 month tiger was 856 pounds at the time. Crazy how fast they grow! I'm glad I don't have to dish out 20 pounds of meat per day.
Denver nature and science museum exhibit you vs sue was replaced with lizards and snakes. Peanut and Mr. Incredible loved running around the exhibits trying to find all the creatures. Peanut was a little scared of snakes. Not as afraid of the snakes as he his with our toy singing Santa that induces nightmares and makes him run the other direction when we push the button to start the music and the propeller. Who knew "Santa Clause is coming to town" song would strike so much fear into a person!

Black raspberry pumpkin ice cream aka wassail ice cream pie
So last night I had my friend over to chat about life and visit teach. I decided to make pumpkin ice cream pie with my vitamix. Totally forgetting that I didn't have a lot of ice, so used black raspberries frozen instead. The raspberries and gingerbread cookie crust bought a wassail flavor to the ice cream pie which was delicious. It was a great seasonal treat!
